Passengers can expect seamless broadband Wi-Fi, direct aisle access, and a new in-flight entertainment system.
Passengers aboard Hong Kong Airline’s A350 aircraft can now expect to enjoy the newly launched “Super Diamond” business-class product, first announced back in 2016.
Arranged in a 1-2-1 herringbone pattern, the cabin comes with a total of 33 business class seats, all offering direct aisle access to each passenger and enhanced privacy thanks to a unique angled design.
The overall look of the cabin has also been given a contemporary overhaul, now featuring a grey and red colour scheme, with seats crafted in luxe leather and soft woven fabrics.
To ensure comfort, grey duvets and pillows have also been added to each seat. Travelers can also expect storage options including two covered panels, an open space on one side, as well as a deep foot well and concealed space in the adjustable armrest.
The new product also introduces Thales Group’s latest AVANT in-flight entertainment (IFE) system, which comes with a 17-inch high-definition display. In addition, the new interface features a more responsive touch screen with an intuitive design to improve browsing and screening experience.
Another new feature is the “Air Mouse”, a smart phone-like extra controller for reclined passengers who find it hard to reach the screen in the position. The device comes with touch screen and an infra-red pointer, allowing them to watch content directly on the “Air Mouse” if they so choose to.
Those feeling spoilt for choice by the entertainment options available can also refer to the IFE data, which informs them of the most watched or most popular movies aboard.
Need to feel connected? You’ll be pleased to know that the aircraft will also be the first Asian aircraft to feature Inmarsat’s Global Xpress Connectivity to offer “seamless, super-fast Ka-band broadband Wi-Fi.”
