Debuting in 2020, Aman’s first foray into Mexico is a tranquil and private getaway set against a dramatic desert landscape.
Its elegant name, which comes from the Sanskirt-derived words “peace” and “water”, aptly depicts its quiet desert surroundings, juxtaposed against the Sea of Cortes.
Set against such a dramatic backdrop, it’s no wonder Aman has chosen to approach the property design by allowing the landscape to take center stage.
Designed by architects Heah & Co., Amanvari will comprise a hotel and private residences with 20 spacious, bi-level hotel pavilions, framed by the majestic Sierra de la Laguna mountain range and the surrounding sand dunes.
These pavilions, which rise from the lush terrain, will be spread across the resort, with floor to ceiling windows that open onto an outdoor terrace and wraparound sundeck, some with a cantilevered pool.
At the main pavilion, three restaurants, a library and lounge, as well as a 30-meter infinity pool incorporating four hot tubs await guests. Those seeking a relaxing wellness experience will be pleased to know that the Aman Spa pavilion is merely steps away from the main pavilion along a treed pathway.
Guests who’d like to make a permanent home out of Amanvari, can consider the initial release of 24 whole-ownership Aman Residences, which will be offered for sale. The collection of Aman residences will range from four- to seven-bedrooms bedrooms spanning 1,207 to 1,858 square meters of covered indoor-outdoor living.
Conveniently located a 45-minute drive from Los Cabos International Airport, the property allows guests to glimpse a different side to Mexico — one filled with golden beaches, desert roads, mountain trails, and more. Here, diving with migrant whales, sailing, and fishing expeditions are just some of the activities to look forward to.
