One of the latest openings from The Ascott Limited — best known for its global network of luxury serviced apartments — will appeal to both short- and longer-stay visitors looking to plug themselves into Singapore’s thriving tech and startup scene. Lyf One-North Singapore is a brand-new property for a young brand whose name, pronounced “life,” is an acronym for “live your freedom.” Located within the One-North high-tech business park, the lodgings were built to meet the hospitality and co-living needs of nearby startups, research and development firms, as well as media enterprises. Guests here will have easy access to a variety of recreational, retail, and dining options in the area, and find themselves just a two-minute walk from the one-north MRT station.
Lyf One-North Singapore offers 324 compact apartments in two different categories. One of A Kind describes 12-square-meter studios with a queen-size bed and ensuite bathroom, while Level Up accommodates travelers in 17-square-meter two-story lofts, which also feature a queen bed. The seven-story property’s communal spaces have been designed to encourage social interaction among like-minded guests, giving them opportunities to forge meaningful connections and nurturing a sense of community.

All lyf properties come equipped with a coworking and event lounge, social kitchen, gym, and laundromat, but lyf one-north Singapore also boasts a new range of communal facilities. Meet is an outdoor amphitheater where residents can enjoy live performances, and exercise classes will be held at a versatile open-air activity area. Dip, the 25-meter lap pool, features a BBQ pit for intimate get-togethers; a rooftop social clubhouse and terrace known as Hang Out provides a setting for outdoor movie screenings and pop-up market fairs. There are also several multipurpose rooms for brainstorming sessions and business functions, while curated activity programs focus on innovation and sustainability.
Ascott is planning an ambitious global expansion for its co-living brand over the next decade; sister properties lyf Farrer Park Singapore and Lyf Hongqiao Shanghai both welcomed their first guests in February. This year, five more lyf outposts are slated to open across the Asia-Pacific region, expanding the brand’s footprint to Bangkok, Cebu, Kuala Lumpur, Melbourne, and Xi’an. Another five lyf properties are scheduled to debut in Beijing, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Manila and Paris by 2025.
