For many Indonesians, Ramadan is a particularly special time of year, with much feasting, family get-togethers, and festive treats galore. Bali-based artisan collective John Hardy has unveiled a new capsule collection named The Golden Hour to celebrate the joy of the season.

With a clear emphasis on craftsmanship and community since its foundation back in 1975, John Hardy specializes in creating one-of-a-kind jewelry rooted in Bali’s age-old traditions. The Classic Chain collection expresses the core values of the brand, and has evolved into a diverse family of textures, gauges, and weaves over the decades. From the very beginning, each product from the Classic Chain line has been made entirely of reclaimed gold and silver, to showcase the beauty of sustainably sourced precious materials. Symbolizing the natural world, the mandala-inspired line work on a woven band of 18k gold complements the bezel-set emerald detailing of the Radial 7.5mm Band Ring.

John Hardy has added a new bracelet to its elegant Icon Chain collection, whose products are also crafted from reclaimed gold and silver and feature a palette of handpicked gemstones. Available in 18k gold, the Classic Chain 4mm Station Bracelet comes with a cut 7mm x 5mm emerald for sheer luminosity and the brand’s signature Pusher Clasp.

Meanwhile, the Moon Door collection was inspired by the monthly Full Moon ceremony, a sacred ritual in Balinese Hinduism that is believed to cleanse the body and soul. Precious stones such as emerald, white diamond, brown diamond, yellow sapphire, and tsavorite are hand-set in an adjustable 22–24 inch 2mm Rolo chain necklace with Jawan and Dot accents, while a spinning pendant alludes to the lunar rhythm — long used by the Balinese to measure the passage of time. And as the Moon Door Pendant Necklace represents new beginnings, it makes an ideal gift for a loved one as they look forward to the months and years ahead.
