Guests can “unleash their curiosity” with the help of an insider’s perspective on nine destinations across the Asia-Pacific region.
W Hotels Worldwide has teamed up with Hong Kong–based LUXE City Guides to create exclusive new content for guests in Bali, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Osaka, Shanghai, Singapore, Suzhou, and Xi’an. Available in print and digital formats, the W Hotel LUXE City Guide features concise travel tips in a 24-hour timeline format, including recommendations on where to go, what to see, and which eateries to visit in each place. W Hotels says it hopes to inspire travelers to connect with each city and culture by exploring the local music, design, fashion, and wellness scenes.
Guests at W Bali can find out about a less-trumpeted spot for local specialty babi guling (spice-rubbed roast suckling pig), along with draws like Parqspace — a newly minted co-working hub, community mall, and wellness center in Ubud. Those headed to Osaka will learn where to enjoy an onsen experience in the morning, where to experience Japanese indie art, and which nightclubs are best for dancing until dawn. Over in Melbourne, insiders recommend a cycling excursion along the Yarra River with a stop for lunch at an Edwardian-era boathouse, whose restaurant dishes up contemporary Australian cuisine.
While international borders across the Asia-Pacific region remain largely shut, pop-up events celebrating the launch of the W Hotels LUXE City Guide will take place this month at W Hotels in Singapore, Suzhou, and Xi’an. These will showcase the nine destinations in the guide and serve food and drinks from the featured places.
The W Hotels LUXE City Guide is currently available in English, Japanese, traditional Chinese, and simplified Chinese. Physical copies can be requested from the W Insider at the brand’s properties, while the specially created content is also accessible online at whotels-asiapacific.com/luxecityguides.
