Deputy managing director, Maldives Tourism

Must Visit: We have about 1,200 islands in the Maldives, 110 of which are developed as resorts. Each island is unique as we have the “one island, one resort” concept. In the resorts you will find your own privacy and it’s both a romantic destination for couples and an excellent getaway for families with children too.

Must Eat: Most Fridays, the resorts have Maldivian-themed nights where they serve local cuisines. For a typical Maldivian breakfast, you can try the mas huni, a mix of tuna, taro, and grated coconut, which you eat with a roshi flatbread.

Must Do: You can try the underwater restaurants and underwater spas. In each resort, you will find various facilities and activities such as snorkeling and diving to admire the underwater beauty of the Maldives.
