One of Morocco’s most hotly anticipated hotels has finally opened it doors: the Mandarin Oriental Marrakech. Situated amid 20 hectares of rose-scented gardens and olive groves just a short drive away from Marrakech’s ancient walled medina, the property features 54 sleek villas that French design duo Patrick Gilles and Dorothée Boissier have done up with Berber- and Moorish-inspired touches; each also comes with its own swimming pool, hot tub, and outdoor dining area. Dining options include Mes’Lalla with its contemporary take on traditional Moroccan cuisine, and Le Salon Berbère, a tranquil tea lounge and champagne bar backdropped by views of the Atlas Mountains.
“Mandarin Oriental is set to become the region’s most sought after and exclusive resort, offering stylish accommodation and a range of impeccable facilities, all of which are underpinned by Mandarin Oriental’s service,” Mandarin Oriental Marrakech general manager Mark S. Bradford said.
Celebrating its opening, the resort has announced two special offers for guests, namely the Experience Marrakech offer, which grants a complimentary third night for every two consecutive nights booked, and the Delight in Marrakech package, which offers a credit of up to US$337 for guests to spend throughout the resort. Both offers include breakfast at the Le Salon Berbère as well as limousine airport transfers.
