Shop M.O. promises a dose of five-star luxury delivered straight to one’s doorstep.
Looking to pamper your loved ones with a special Christmas gift? The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has just launched a digital shopping experience for its fans and customers around the globe, allowing them to enjoy branded products in the comfort of their own homes. Named Shop M.O., the new platform offers a worldwide delivery service, with multilingual “concierge representatives” on hand to arrange shipments from warehouses throughout Asia, Europe, and the United States and Canada.
For now, Shop M.O. encompasses six categories of products. One of these is Hotel Exclusives, an umbrella term for bespoke offerings from individual Mandarin Oriental properties; users can order tea sets from Bangkok, kimonos from Japan, and autographed cookbooks from some of the group’s most celebrated chefs. Also available are “M.O. signature gifts” that include branded travel items created through special collaborations with partners such as Orlebar Brown and Aquazzura. Other choices range from aromatherapy spa products, candles, and diffusers to soft toys and bathrobes for the kids, while a selection of pillows, duvets, and mattresses raise the bar when it comes to getting a good night’s sleep. New products and categories are set to be added to Shop M.O. in the future.
Kristin Ruble, the brand’s Senior Vice President for Brand and Experience Marketing, said in a statement, “We are delighted to be introducing a new service that extends the Mandarin Oriental lifestyle from hotels to the homes of our loyal customers. The shopping experience also introduces our brand of distinctive textiles and designs to those less familiar with our Group.” Ruble added that the company hoped Shop M.O. would inspire people to check in to its hotels on their future travels.
