The first five-star hotel to grace Colombo in over two decades, Mövenpick’s Sri Lankan venture offers creature comforts aplenty in the heart of the buzzing capital, just a short step from the Liberty Arcade, Kollupitiya Market, and the National Museum. Bedecked with sleek furnishings, the 219 rooms and suites are contemporary in style and feature floor-to-ceiling views of either the city or the Indian Ocean. Dark-wood furniture is offset by vibrant pops of color, adding a touch of sophistication to the guest quarters.

Dining wise, guests in search of a memorable meal don’t have to venture outside of the 24-storey hotel: Brasserie champions authentic French cuisine, while Robata Grill offers a wide selection of Japanese specialties. There’s also all-day dining venue AYU, which serves international favorites in a casual, family-friendly setting. For a post-meal cocktail with a side of upbeat music and spectacular views, pay a visit to the 24th-floor Vistas Bar.

Elsewhere on the property, the hotel’s wellness center comprises state-of-the-art gym facilities, a beauty salon, and treatment rooms that overlook the ocean. Spa enthusiasts can look forward to the hotel’s wide variety of pampering sessions, which include everything from signature Kandyan massages to full-body treatments. Meanwhile, sundowners looking to unwind will want to head to the hotel’s rooftop, where an infinity pool and a Jacuzzi beckon for a lazy dip.
