Designed for seasoned travelers and business executives, these new properties offer luxury residential living in some of Asia’s busiest cities.
Scheduled to open by the end of 2019, Oakwood Suites Bangkok will be located in the buzzy Phrom Phong district, along Sukhumvit Soi 24. The 232-room property offers well-appointed studios, as well as one- and two-bedroom apartments designed for both short trips and extended stays. Guests will find themselves in close proximity to restaurants and malls, as well as Bangkok’s Central Business District.
Meanwhile, Oakwood Suites Yokohama, a Mapletree-owned property, will open later in mid-2020. This timely launch comes after 12 Oakwood properties in Japan, marking the hospitality brand’s expansion into Japan’s second-largest city. Here, 175 elegant apartments occupy levels 46 to 51 of The Tower Kitanaka, the largest and tallest residential building in Yokohama.
Not only is the property a stone’s throw away from Yamashita Park, it also right next to Yokohama bay in the Minato Mirai area, offering waterfront living for its residents. This highly anticipated opening looks set to come in time for the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics.
Dean Schreiber, interim chief executive officer of Oakwood and managing director of Oakwood Asia Pacific says: “Oakwood Suites offers residential comfort for well-heeled global citizens who desire unparelled service delivered in an unobtrusive manner.”
“By expanding into Bangkok and Yokohama, we are greatly increasing Oakwood Suites’ footprint and bringing a new type of contemporary luxury to guests and travelers alike in both markets.”
