These days, Hong Kong residents returning from abroad may have to spend 14 days cooped up in a hotel room, but that’s not to say that it can’t be an enjoyable staycation. Cue the Quarantine Concierge service by Ovolo Hotels, designed to support guests’ physical and mental wellbeing while amping up the fun factor.

Now available at Ovolo Southside and Ovolo Central, the brand-new service covers all aspects of your stay. Complimentary breakfasts will be delivered right to your door every morning, as will free barista-made coffee. Guests also receive a credit of HK$1,000 for food and drinks, which they can spend on everything from spinach-and-ricotta momos by vegetarian restaurant Veda to barrel-aged Negronis. Ovolo will also be offering complimentary in-room drinks at Happy Hour throughout the two-week stay. Should you be feeling peckish, all items in the minibars are free, along with the edible treats in Ovolo’s signature “loot bags,” which are replenished on a daily basis.

Unlimited in-room entertainment comes via high-speed Wi-Fi, an Apple TV, and Alexa. As for fitness gear, a yoga mat, gliders, and resistance bands allow quarantined returnees to stay in shape even while confined to their guest room’s four walls. The Ovolo daily step challenge means any guest who takes over 10,000 steps will be rewarded with a free cold-pressed juice. Another perk? A Mindfulness Kit loaded with adult coloring books, brain teasers, and playing cards, along with a leafy green potted plant for a much-needed touch of nature.

Quarantine Concierges will be on hand to pick up items like SIM cards and treats to satisfy your food or shopping cravings through a Daily Essentials Run. When the self-isolation period is up, guests will be presented with a bottle of cava as a farewell gift. Girish Jhunjhnuwala, CEO of Ovolo Hotels, said, “We always try to look on the bright side at Ovolo Hotels. If I had to quarantine, this is how I would want to do it.”

Travelers returning to Hong Kong can book Ovolo’s Meet Your Quarantine Concierge package here. Thanks to the brand’s Shiny Happy People Promise, five percent of every direct booking will be donated to support Ovolo employees who have been furloughed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
