With the launch of Hotel & Car Rewards, Qatar Airways Privilege Club is giving even more options for its members to earn and spend Qmiles while traveling abroad. Qmiles can now be used to book a stay at one of more than 350,000 hotels or rent a car at over 20,000 locations worldwide with brands such as Avis, Budget, and Sixt. Privilege Club members will also earn Qmiles on every cash travel booking they make.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Akbar Al Baker, said in a statement, “At Qatar Airways, we are continually striving to enhance Privilege Club and offer our members more value and opportunities to earn and spend Qmiles. We also want to make the experience of earning and spending Qmiles as seamless as when our loyalty members travel with us across the globe.” Al Baker added that hotel stays and car rentals can be paid in full using Qmiles or by using a combination of Qmiles and cash.

In 2020, Qatar Airways’ Privilege Club was one of the first airline loyalty programes to announce a tier extension offer of up to 12 months to its members and, earlier this year, Privilege Club honored a further protection of tier status until December 31, 2021. Other steps have been taken to adjust the program in light of current circumstances, including cutting the number of Qmiles required to book award flights by up to 49 percent as well as removing the booking fee for award flights. Privilege Club has also revised its Qmiles policy so that when a member earns or spends them, their balance is valid for a further 36 months.
