Prices for accommodation at a four-star hotel in Doha start from just US$14 per person per night.
Despite the continuing effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, leading Gulf carriers have been restoring connectivity and increasing flight frequencies to cities across the globe at a remarkable pace. Long-haul flyers now have even more reason to break up their intercontinental journeys in Doha, thanks to yesterday’s launch of the self-styled “World’s Best Value Stopover” packages from Qatar Airways.
Created in partnership with Discover Qatar, the deals promise stays of up to four nights in Doha that are, as the name suggests, an absolute steal. Fully vaccinated travelers can bed down in a selection of four- and five-star hotels at knockdown prices, with room rates starting at just US$14 per person per night. The themed stopover packages have been designed to cater to different interests: vacationers have the chance to embark on a thrilling desert safari, bliss out at high-end resorts and spas, or explore cultural attractions such as I.M. Pei’s Museum of Islamic Art.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Akbar Al Baker, said in a statement, “With our great value stopover packages, we look forward to welcoming visitors to experience Qatar’s unrivalled hospitality from anywhere on our global network.” He added that the brand-new promotion gave travelers the chance “to enjoy two holidays in one journey.”
Over 95 nationalities are currently offered visa-free access into Qatar, and the country’s flag carrier has continued to rebuild its global network, which stands at over 140 destinations. Further details on Qatar Airways’ stopover packages can be found here.
