The Brunei flag carrier will launch nonstop flights to London Heathrow, as well as resume flights to Taoyuan.
Just in time for the 2018/2019 winter season, Royal Brunei Airlines has announced new flight routes in anticipation of growing demand.
Starting October 28, the Brunei flag carrier will launch nonstop flights from Bandar Seri Begawan to London Heathrow. Flight B787-8 will arrive in Heathrow at 6:50 a.m. local time before leaving Heathrow for Bandar Seri Begawan at 5:05 p.m. the next day. In addition, passengers from Brunei no longer need to transit in Dubai for onward flights to London.
On December 3, the airline will resume flights from Bandar Seri Begawan to Taoyuan. Departing on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, flight BI451 will depart from Bandar Seri Begawan for Taoyuan at 11a.m., arrive in Taoyuan at 2:30 p.m., before leaving Taoyuan for Bandar Seri Begawan at 3:30 p.m. This route will be operated by the carrier’s new A320neo aircraft.
The airline also announced plans to deploy the A320neo aircraft on its new route to Haikou starting October 30, subject to granting of slot in Haikou Meilan International Airport. The aircraft is currently utilized on its new scheduled flight route to Nanning which it launched in April.
Come early 2019, the airline will own seven A320neo and five B787-8 aircraft.
