Shebah, Australia’s Female-only Ride-sharing App

Come next month, Australia will see the launch of a brand new female-only ride sharing service. A passion project that’s been a year in the making, Shebah was founded by comedian George McEncroe, who wanted to create a technology platform that would help women “travel in confidence, as well as style.” McEncroe predicts that the service will do especially well with Gold Coast-based passengers looking for a safe post-party transportation option. While the app is built on an all-female community, boys under the age of 12 are permitted on Shebah rides, provided that their mothers are with them. The app is slated to debut in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and the Gold Coast.
