At a time when international travel remains at a virtual standstill, Singapore Airlines has announced new policies aimed at allaying concerns about membership renewal for its loyalty programs. PPS Club members will see the validity of any reserve value set to expire between March 2021 and February 2023 extended to between March 2023 and February 2024. Meanwhile, KrisFlyer Elite miles earned in the 12 months prior to the latest extension will be automatically credited back into users’ accounts after the Elite membership is renewed between March 2021 and February 2022.

PPS Club members flying Scoot will enjoy a new raft of benefits from February 2021, including priority check-in and boarding, an extra baggage allowance of five kilograms, one complimentary booking change, and free standard seat selection.

SIA has also launched Krisflyer Milestone Rewards, a brand-new initiative through which passengers can earn Elite miles on Singapore Airlines, SilkAir, and Scoot flights. All KrisFlyer members who reach different milestones within a single calendar year (starting from 5,000 Elite miles) will be able to claim rewards such as KrisPay miles and cabin-class upgrades on board SIA and SilkAir flights. In addition, Elite miles earned on Scoot flights now count toward KrisFlyer Elite membership status renewals and upgrades, as well as redemptions for KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards.

JoAnn Tan, Singapore Airlines’ Acting Senior Vice President for Marketing Planning, said in a statement, “We are very grateful to our PPS Club and KrisFlyer members for their continued loyalty to Singapore Airlines. Our complimentary membership extension and support measures are our way of recognizing their unwavering support. We have simultaneously expanded and enhanced our program offerings to create even more value for our members as we look forward to the recovery of air travel.”
