Singapore Airlines launches new business-class Chinese menu

Earlier this month, Singapore Airlines began serving its new Chinese Shi Quan Wei Mei (all-encompassing flavors) business class in-flight menu on its flights between Singapore and Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. Developed in partnership with one-Michelin-starred chef Zhu Jun from the Jade Group of restaurants, the menu features the freshest seasonal ingredients to showcase the essence of Chinese food culture. For instance, business-class travelers onboard flights from Hong Kong to Singapore can enjoy dishes like braised pork belly in pickle sauce and chilled orange-scented malva nut soup with snow lotus seeds.

Malindo Air adds new route from Singapore to Kota Kinabalu

As part of the airline’s continuous effort to expand its regional network, Malindo Air will start a new service between Singapore and Kota Kinabalu on August 10. Operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft, flight OD830 will depart from Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) at 9:15 a.m. and arrive in Singapore at 11:40 a.m, while the flight from Changi Airport, OD831, will depart at 12:40 p.m. and arrive in KKIA at 3:05 p.m.

British Airways to introduce Pittsburgh flights from London

Come April 2019, British Airways will start direct flights from London Heathrow to the American city of Pittsburgh. The four-times weekly service will be operated by a B787-8 aircraft with three classes (economy, premium economy, and business). With the addition of the new route, the airline will fly to a total to a total of 26 U.S. destinations from London. The new flights will run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays with BA0171 departing from London Heathrow at 5:00 p.m. and landing into Pittsburgh at 8:15 p.m., while the BA0170 will leave Pittsburgh at 9:50 p.m., arriving into London at 10.25 a.m. the following day.
