Launching on September 3, 2019, the new service will be operated by the airline’s standard A350-900.

After the successful launch of Singapore Airlines’ 19-hour nonstop flights between Singapore and New York — also the world’s longest commercial flight, the airline has announced plans to launch another nonstop US service.

Come September 3, 2019, the Singapore flag carrier will add the Washington city of Seattle to its roster of US destinations in its long-haul network. The route will also be its fourth nonstop service from the city-state.

At the start, flights will operate three times per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, before being increased to four weekly flights from October next year with the addition of a Sunday service.

The flights will leave Singapore in the morning and arrive in Seattle at a similar time the same day, while the return flight will leave Seattle in the late morning and arrive back in Singapore on the following afternoon.

The Seattle flights will not be operated by the airline’s newest Airbus A350-900ULR (ultra-long range) aircraft, which is currently used on its flights between Singapore and New York.

Instead, the standard A350-900, which has an economy-class, business, and premium economy cabins, will serve the new flights.

Come November 7, tickets for the non-stop Seattle service are expected to go on sales.
