Imagine gliding over the iconic Marina Bay skyline in Singapore, as you enjoy a 360-degree view of the city state.

This and other thrills can be expected at the upcoming Prudential Marina Bay Carnival, which is billed as the largest carnival in Singapore.

Occupying 25,000 square meters, the traveling funfair will span The Promontory and the Bayfront Event Space when it runs from December 8, 2017 to April 1, 2018.

According to Barnabas Chia, who heads the carnival’s organizing team, “This event is the first of its scale. We are bigger than any other carnival ever held in Singapore. We have also brought in Singapore’s largest collection of more than 30 games stalls, and over a million prizes await.”

A major highlight of the carnival is the collection of over 40 rides and games, many of which are brought in from Europe and operated by the people behind the biggest fairs and carnivals around the world, such as Winter Wonderland in London’s Hyde Park and The Great European Carnival in Hong Kong.

Theme park enthusiasts will be treated to adrenalin-packed rides such as the Star Flyer, a 35m-tall tower ride that enables visitors to experience the sensation of flight while taking in the city skyline; or the classic Cyclone Coaster.

Those with a need for speed will enjoy The Booster Maxx, which goes up 55m above ground and spins clockwise and counter-clockwise at up to 96 km/h.

Suitable for the whole family are gentler rides like the Log Flume, as well as the Apple Coaster—a kiddy coaster that will delight the little ones.

Throughout the duration of the carnival, visitors will be entertained by musical powerhouses like Kexin Tay and hip-hop rapper TheLionCityBoy, while munching on local-inspired fare like lemongrass chicken rice bowls and chendol (an iced sweet dessert) soft serve.
