Fans of AYANA Resort’s world famous Rock Bar can look forward to more from the Bali based hotel. The Capella Hotel Group has announced the opening of RIMBA Jimbaran Bali, opening in September of 2013.
The new space resides within AYANA’s 77-hectare grounds overlooking Jimbaran Bay and will add 297 rooms and suites to an existing 368 rooms and villas. RIMBA’s name, which is Indonesian for “forest,” reflects the property’s commitment to sustainability and the environment. Rainwater harvesting and water recycling will be utilized onsite, as well as repurposed materials and wood gathered from old fishing boats in Sulawesi.
A focal point of the property is the one hectare of multi-tiered swimming pools and and expansive tree plantations, tropical flowers and organic fruit and vegetable gardens. The property features a sloped landscape and tree-lined trails, to contrast AYANA’s cliff-top setting.
Epicurean fare includes Chinese restaurant, Ah-Yat Abalone, a glamorous roof-top bar designed around a swimming pool and a swim-up pool bar. A cooking school will also delight guests so memories of Bali can be shared long after they leave the island.
