Travelers have much to look forward to in the multi-bedroom lodgings at this luxe resort in northern Oman.
A two-hour drive from Dubai International Airport, Six Senses Zighy Bay promises barefoot luxury with a touch of Arabian culture in the Omani enclave of Musandam. Multi-generational family vacations or getaways with friends here are now even more alluring, thanks to the property’s just-renovated three- and four-bedroom villas. The new-look interiors incorporate palm leaf and wicker designs inspired by the resort’s natural surroundings. All villas have been fitted with handpicked furnishings sourced from South Africa, Lebanon, India, and the UAE in keeping with the rustic-chic vibe.
Tucked away at the northern tip of Zighy Bay, and separated from the rest of the resort by a seasonal stream, the Private Reserve is a 3,000-square-meter villa equipped with a kitchen, an enormous living and dining space, and a recreation room that features a pool table, a private bar, and a cinema. A 17-meter-long infinity pool overlooks the Gulf of Oman and the villa’s own stretch of white sand, while each of the bedrooms, two of which are located upstairs, have their own indoor and outdoor showers. The Private Reserve comes with quarters for a nanny or butler when required.
Meanwhile, the Retreats were recently converted from two- and three-bedroom Omani-style villas. Those booked into these accommodations will have an impressive 1,122 square meters of space at their disposal, including a lounge, dining area with a private bar, indoor and outdoor living areas, and an infinity pool with beachfront sunbeds. A stay in the Private Reserve or a three-bedroom Retreat comes with a raft of benefits: guests are entitled to a thrilling paraglide arrival experience, a private sunset dhow cruise on the Gulf of Oman, an in-villa BBQ, and a fitness or yoga session with a personal instructor.
