While its always a safe bet to count on the consistency and credibility offered by an international hotel brand, there’s nothing like the unique charm afforded by the flexible standards of an independently-owned boutique hotel. Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide is combining the best of both worlds with the introduction of Tribute Portfolio, the company’s 10th brand and second collection of independent hotels.
Focusing on upscale properties, Tribute Portfolio has debuted with five diverse hotels, including the famed Royal Palm South Beach Miami, which boasts 393 guest rooms and direct beach access to South Beach. The brand is set to add 10 hotels to its portfolio, with properties in Asheville, North Carolina; Nashville, Tennessee; Savannah, Georgia; and Charleston, South Carolina currently in the works.
“Our SPG members constantly tell us they want more choices in more destinations, and we see Tribute Portfolio as a nod to our members who have been front and center as we developed this brand,” said Mark Vondrasek, Starwood’s senior vice president, distribution, loyalty, and partnership marketing. The company’s CEO, Adam Aron, adds on: “Our mission with Tribute Portfolio is very simple: bring great hotels in great destinations to our loyal SPG members, who make up more than half of all Starwood stays.”
