You’ve booked vineyard tours, attended wine tastings with sommeliers, and perhaps enjoyed countless wine-pairing dinners, but have you sailed the high seas on a dedicated wine cruise?

Designed for wine connoisseurs, Regent Seven Seas Cruises is offering a 12-night “Taste of Tuscany” cruise hosted by award-winning wine expert Justin Baldwin. Happening from October 7 to 19 this year, the cruise on the luxurious Seven Seas Explorer will feature hosted dinners, wine tastings, and wine-themed shore excursions, all curated by Baldwin himself.

The best part of the 12-day cruise looks set to be the shore excursions, which will highlight some of the Mediterranean region’s most loved wines. In Tuscany, guests will embark on a tour of Bocelli country by exploring medieval Volterra, visiting Andrea Bocelli’s theater and museum, sampling wines at the Officine Bocelli restaurant, and visiting Pisa’s Square of Miracles, home to the city’s famed leaning tower and Romanesque cathedral. Aside from having the opportunity to tour the vineyards on the farm that the Bocellis have owned since 1730, guests will also savor a three-course lunch, complete with a round of wine tasting.

At Palma de Mallorca in Spain, guests will visit family-owned vineyard Tianna Negre for a tasting of wines made from indigenous Mallorcan grapes. For brunch, they’ll enjoy the namesake Tianna Negre red blend made from manto negro and syrah grapes, a tianna blanc with notes of ripe fruit from giró ros grapes, as well a pink rosé with hints of grapefruit. These will be paired with freshly baked bread and extra virgin olive oil made from the estate’s olives.

As the cruise ship glides along the Mediterranean coastlines of Spain, France, and Italy, passengers can also look forward to attending cooking classes aboard, coupled with onshore activities like local market visits.
