A quirky clothing line ushers in a new tie-up between the world-famous French museum and Uniqlo.
While it might be some time before you can venture to Paris to see the art at the Louvre, that doesn’t mean you can’t get close to some of your favorite masterpieces. The museum has just partnered with Uniqlo on the Musée du Louvre Collection, a line of T-shirts and hoodies that feature such iconic works as the Mona Lisa and (above) Antonio Canova’s Psyche Revived by Cupid’s Kiss. It marks the beginning of a four-year collaboration between the fabled institution and the Japanese retailer, which has created original designs on a range of UT (Uniqlo T-shirts) for women, and tapped celebrated British graphic artist Peter Saville to reinterpret the museum pieces, under the theme of “Art and Logic,” in the menswear. Look for them at Uniqlo stores or online at boutique.louvre.fr.
