The new service, which starts on July 17, will be operated by the airline’s Boeing 787-900 fleet.
Starting July 17, 2019, Turkish Airlines will officially launch nonstop flights from the Turkish city of Istanbul to Denpasar, Bali. This route will be served by the airline’s Boeing 787-900 fleet, which is configured with 30 business-class and 270 economy-class seats.
This new route is expected to increase tourist arrivals to Indonesia, as well as help Istanbul reach its goal of receiving 20 million foreign tourists in 2019. This will also benefit Indonesian tourists who reside in Eastern Europe as the service will take them to Bali without having to first stop by Jakarta.
Meanwhile, foreign tourists can travel with ease to Bali or vacation in several other destinations in Indonesia, such as Lombok and Nusa Tenggara.
Initially in July and August, the Turkish national airline will operate the service three times per week. After which, the airline plans to increase the frequency of the Istanbul-Denpasar flights to a daily basis. To attract passengers, Turkish Airlines has also launched an in-flight safety video featuring the cast of the Lego Movie, alongside promotional videos featuring various dreamy destinations
