Back-to-nature escapes beckon at Avani+ Koh Lanta Resort, which will open by the last quarter of 2021 on a peninsula in northern Koh Lanta that overlooks the Andaman Sea. Avani Hotels will be adding a dash of sophistication to the coastline of Phang Nga Province with the upcoming Avani+ Khao Lak Resort. Set to open by Q4 2021, the retreat promises equal measure of comfort and charm on a long sandy beach about an hour’s drive north of Phuket International Airport. Here, guests will bed down in 250 contemporary, light-filled guest rooms and 78 one- and two-bedroom villas with uninterrupted views of the Andaman Sea. Other sustainability practices include minimizing the carbon footprint by sourcing local seafood and, just like its sister hotel in Koh Lanta, installing an on-site zero-waste facility that will convert leftover food into organic fertilizer for the resort’s garden.
