Vaccinated Hong Kongers Can Win a Cathay Pacific “Party Flight”

On top of that, a total of 20 million Asia Miles will be given away to 110 people in a lucky draw.

Hong Kong’s flag carrier has rolled out an unusual incentive to help boost its home territory’s lackluster vaccination drive. Cathay Pacific will give one lucky winner the chance to host a private party on board its brand-new Airbus A321neo aircraft — a narrow-body jet that is the latest addition to the airline’s fleet. The winner will be treated to an exclusive sightseeing flight around Hong Kong with friends and family, when they can try out the high-tech features of the A321neo and enjoy service from the fully vaccinated cabin crew. The journey’s carbon emissions will be offset through the Fly Greener program.

Cathay Pacific is also giving away a total of 20 million Asia Miles in a lucky draw; 10 winners will receive one million Asia Miles each, while another 100 will be awarded 100,000 Asia Miles. Customers can redeem these for a range of flight, travel, lifestyle, and entertainment awards, and through the new Miles Plus Cash payment option, they will enjoy even greater flexibility in how they choose to use their Asia Miles.

Eligible participants must be Hong Kong Identity Card holders who have been fully vaccinated before the end of August 2021. Apart from the winner, all other passengers on the special flight must also have received both doses of either the Sinovac or BioNTech coronavirus vaccine. More details will be announced at a later date.
