VIDEO: A Safe, Scenic Summer with Air New Zealand

Air New Zealand is back again with another creative and playful safety video, this time with a theme that showcases the country’s natural beauty as it beckons in the current Southern Hemisphere summer. Starring an all-Kiwi cast that includes supermodel Rachel Hunter, actor Jayden Daniels, and Olympic medalist Eliza McCartney, the video takes viewers on a road trip—or “roadie”, as it’s referred to in the clip—from Auckland to Waitangi, using the region’s various picture-perfect spots and stunning scenery as the backdrop.

“Attracting a global audience of millions, our highly anticipated safety videos not only deliver important in-flight messages, but are an incredibly influential marketing tool. This most recent video will certainly put the Bay of Islands and the wider Northland region on the wish list for many and we expect to see a boost in visitation,” explained Jodi Williams, the airline’s general manager of global brand and content marketing.

Past productions by Air New Zealand include a Hollywood-themed piece starring Anna Faris and Kiwi actor and comedian Rhys Darby, as well as a sultry, swimsuit model-studded video featuring Chrissy Teigen, Ariel Meredith, and Hannah Davis. What are your thoughts on the airline’s latest piece? Does it match up to its previous creations?
