The British airline has announced two new long-haul routes, namely London-Heathrow to Cape Town and from Manchester to Delhi.
Launched as part of its eastern expansion plans, the Manchester-Delhi route will be operated by the carrier’s A330-200 aircraft on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. The aircraft comes with economy, premium economy, and business class cabins.
Flight VS318 will depart Manchester at 4:40m p.m. and arrive the next morning in Delhi at 6:05 a.m. On the return leg, flight VS319 will depart on Tuesdays, Fridays or Sundays at 8:10 a.m., and return at 12:10 p.m. Previously, this route was serviced by Jet Airways.
With the new service, Virgin Atlantic will now offer more than 600,000 seats per year between the United Kingdom and India.
