Slated to open in the third quarter of 2018, the new property will feature three levels of curated dining.
Personalized service and incredible dining experiences are just some hallmarks of a Waldorf Astoria property.
This year, the brand will finally make its foray into Southeast Asia with the opening of Waldorf Astoria Bangkok in the third quarter.
On the outside, the sculptural building resembles a magnolia flower springing from the ground, cutting a dramatic profile on the Bangkok’s skyline.
Situated at the bustling Ratchaprasong intersection, the 171-room hotel will bear the finer touches of award-winning architect André Fu and his design studio AFSO. Guests can expect to stay in luxurious and spacious guest rooms and suites, which take inspiration from the building’s contemporary architecture and Thai artisanal tradition.
With great dining at the heart of Waldorf Astoria properties, it’s no surprise that its upcoming Bangkok hotel will feature three levels of curated dining outlets from levels 55 to 57. Highlights include three unique restaurant concepts, a lounge, and two bars.
Most notably, acclaimed chef Rungthiwa Chummongkhon will bring her experience of working at Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe to head the restaurant Front Room, which will present an elegant blend of “new Nordic” and Thai flavors in a relaxed setting.
