Best Western Hotels & Resorts will open two hotels in the Philippines within easy reach of Clark Airport, one of the country’s international gateways.  SureStay Studio by Best Western Clarkview offering 74 rooms is scheduled to open in November 2022, followed by the Best Western Plus Metro Clark featuring 110 rooms in December.

Adding to the regional portfolio and located in the seaside Thai town of Hua Hin, the newly built Best Western Plus Carapace Hotel Khao Tao will open in December. Located on the beachfront, the 410-room hotel will offer a series of freeform lagoon pools, a selection of restaurants and bars and a fitness center. December will also see the unveiling of not one, but two hotels in the vibrant city of Bangkok, the 192-room Best Western Chatuchak, in close proximity to the famous namesake market and the 120-room Best Western Ratchada.

The group’s latest opening in Vietnam will be the Best Western Premier Sonasea Villas Phu Quoc, a brand-new all-villa resort fronting the powdery sands of Bai Truong Beach on Phu Quoc island’s sunset coast. Set in lush tropical gardens, the contemporary boutique property is ideal for travelers seeking something a little extra with space to unwind. Travelers will have a selection of three-, four- and five- bedroom villas, designed in an eco-sensitive style with warm interiors and panoramic glass walls filling the room with an abundance of natural light. Villa guests will also have access to the extensive facilities of the sister property, Best Western Premier Sonasea Phu Quoc, which featuring Thala Spa, a cutting-edge fitness center and Nemo’s kids club.

The group’s pipeline in Vietnam entails the construction of 26 new hotels and resorts, as well as two branded residences. Best Western has teamed up with Matterhorn Hotels & Resorts to develop the Sunshine Diamond River development in Ho Chi Minh City, on top of a franchise agreement that will see the project become the 3,125-key Best Western Premier Sunshine Diamond River, making it the company’s largest branded residence in the world. Set on the banks of the Saigon River, the inaugural Best Western property in Vietnam’s commercial capital will be an urban resort–style complex offering a mix of residences, penthouses and sky villas and will include a hanging garden, contemporary furnishings, the latest technology and the five-star service expected of the Best Western Premier brand.

A strategic partnership with Hung Vuong Developer will see Best Western operate two beach apartment buildings on Vietnam’s southeast coast, Best Western Premier Residence Venezia Binh Chau, will be situated within the newly built city of Venezia Beach. Located on the scenic Ho Tram–Binh Chau coastal route and just a short drive from Ho Chi Minh City, the project is another milestone for the Best Western Premier brand in Southeast Asia. The Best Western Premier Residence Venezia Binh Chau will feature 872 apartment-style units across two buildings and equipped with a kitchen, dining facility and other home comforts. Unlike other developments where ocean views can only be enjoyed from premium accommodation, all rooms and suites at Best Western Premier Residence Venezia Binh Chau will incorporate sea-facing views, which can also be enjoyed from the balcony. Guests and residents can also enjoy an array of on-site dining and recreational facilities including a café and all-day restaurant, infinity pool, fitness center, yoga area and 3D golf simulator. The growing “bleisure” market is well catered for too, thanks to the addition of a business center and co-working space.

The company has also recently signed four additional properties in Pakistan comprising of 293 rooms and suites which will be an addition to the two existing Best Western Premier hotels in Lahore and Islamabad.  Future pipelines in 2025 include upscale properties scheduled to open in the scenic mountain areas of the north. Best Western Premier Hotel Kalam Heights Swat will debut in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 80 rooms and suites, alongside a complete set of facilities. The company is also expanding to the Hunza Valley, a jaw-dropping part of the Gilgit-Baltistan region, with the 50-room Best Western Premier Hotel Karim Abad Hunza. In October 2026, the group will introduce its elevated midscale brand, Best Western Plus, to Pakistan for the first time with the 113-room Best Western Plus Hotel Lake Junction Rawalpindi. This will be followed in December 2026 with the launch of Best Western Premier Hotel Malam Jabba in a hill station of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, featuring 50 rooms and suites.

Notably, Best Western recorded the highest number of signings in the country of any global hotel chain in 2021, a distinction it has repeated this year.
