Why You Should Tie the Knot at The Standard, Hua Hin

Priced at THB 155,500 (US$4,325) for up to 30 guests, the Your Traditional Thai Wedding package provides a Khanamak ceremony with a mini marching band and nine monks, as well as a holy water blessing ceremony. Also included is a bridal bouquet plus a wedding corsage for the groom and parents, access to a photographer for four hours, a free Master of Ceremonies, and background music during the ceremony. Other perks? A private Mud Lounge session at the spa for the newlyweds, plus a complimentary one-night stay in the Bayside Villa with floating breakfast.

As for venues, take your pick between Praça, a beach bar and restaurant styled as a retro Thai “izakaya”; the rooftop of Lido, the resort’s Italian all-day dining spot; and The Meeting Room, a light-filled stylish space that opens out to manicured lawns. Add-ons include a Thai buffet-style lunch for THB 1,400 (US$39) per person with free soft drinks.

Put A Ring On It will delight attendees with even more pizzazz, and it’s available at the special price of THB 219,999 (US$6,119) for up to 30 guests at the Beachfront Lawn or Lido Rooftop. You’ll be guaranteed a floral arch or vow pavilion and six flower stands, a bridal bouquet and groom’s corsage, a Master of Ceremonies, a violin or saxophone performance, a three-tier wedding cake, and music from a live band for three hours. Also featured are a buffet dinner and the services of an in-house photographer for four hours. The just-married couple can also enjoy a private Mud Lounge session in the spa and a free night’s stay in the Bayside Villa with a floating breakfast.

Want to keep things simple? Kiss & Tell offers a super-intimate experience with two guests for just THB 68,000 (US$1,890). Choose between the beachfront lawn and Lido rooftop, and receive a floral arch or vow pavilion and six flower stands, plus a bridal bouquet and groom’s corsage. A dedicated MC and a private photographer four two hours is also provided, along with background music to set the mood. The ceremony will be followed by a special dinner for two with a free bottle of sparkling wine, on top of a couple’s Mud Lounge session in the spa. And that’s not all: newlyweds will also receive a complimentary one-night stay in a Standard Pool Villa with a floating breakfast the next morning.

And getting engaged is just as fun. Priced at THB 19,999 (US$556) for two guests, the It’s a YES! package promises a floral backdrop and bouquet, a dedicated photographer for two hours, and background music to set the mood. The happy couple can look forward to a choice of four different venues: Lido Rooftop, the Beachfront Lawn, Praça, and the Bayside Villa. Add-ons include a Western set dinner for THB 1,800 (US$50) per person or a Thai set dinner at Praça for THB 2,000 (US$56) per person.

The bride-to-be can also party with her closest friends through the Hen Night! package, set at THB 78,500 (US$2,182) for up to 10 guests from 5–10 p.m. The rate encompasses a one-night stay in the Bayside Villa and breakfast for two, a “No Tomorrow” drinks package that includes vodka, whiskey, gin, rum, and red and white wine, a selection of five finger foods, a DJ and sound system, plus hen night props to play around with. Tequila and sparkling wine will be available too, for just THB 1,250 (US$35) extra.

Pre-Wedding Snaps, a weekday special that will set you back just THB 19,000 (US$528), offers an overnight session with check-in at 3 pm. and check-out at 12 noon the next day or, if available, a day session from 9 a.m.–6 p.m. Bring your photographer along and you’ll have free run of no less than 11 venues around the resort, from Lido’s interior and rooftop to a Superior room, the Beachfront Lawn, and Praça. All that posing and picture-taking is bound to make you thirsty, so a complimentary afternoon tea set is also part of the deal.

Celebrations can carry on after the wedding through The After Party package, priced at THB 59,000 (US$1,640) for up to 30 guests. The bash will be held from 10 p.m.–12 a.m. at The Meeting Room or Lido South, with special lighting and a live DJ, a selection of four finger foods, soft drinks, plus an entire barrel of draft beer. If you want to take things up a notch, a mixologist will be on hand to make up to 60 glasses of your two favorite cocktails for an additional THB 15,000 (US$417).
