Billed as “a tough, beautiful, and definitely extraordinary experience,” the annual Great Wall Marathon takes runners up 5,164 steps of China’s most famous landmark amid the picturesque surrounds of northern Tianjin. Scheduled for May 19, this year’s race offers runs of both 10 and five kilometers. Participation in the runs is already sold out, but being a spectator is free.
