Dusit International is billed to open its second hotel in China, the Dusit Devarana Hainan in 2013 (the group’s flagship property in China is the neighboring Dusit Thani Hainan, which opened in 2011). Located in the “Seven Fairy Mountain” region of Hainan Island, around 80 kilometers from China’s southernmost city Sanya, the 300-room resort will be located near 93-degree hot springs, and include numerous spring water features such as outdoor bathing pools of varying sizes and temperatures, as well as bathrooms supplied with hot and cold spring water. A natural mountain river will run through the low-rise complex.

“We are building a unique wellness retreat and new dream destination for … events and conferences,” said Lin Xiang, group chairman of the hotel’s developer Hainan Yuan Qi Investment Company Limited.

The Dusit Devarana brand, which focuses on the high-end spa and business market, currently has three other hotel’s in the works. All in India, Dusit Devarana New Delhi is scheduled to open later this year, while Dusit Devarana Jaipur and Dusit Devarana Rishikesh are both due to open in 2014.
