Open only to guests of Ayana’s properties, it offers breathtaking views of aquamarine waters and picture-perfect limestone cliffs. Done up in traditional Balinese tropical design, it comes with bamboo sun lounges where you can laze around, get a tan or a relaxing massage.

Their grubs are worth trying out too, which is a combination of local and international dishes. Standouts are red snapper curry and nasi campur sela. Embrace the whole lazy, tropical vibe and order beer or cocktails, while fresh coconut water are available for those who want to stay sober.

Walking there from the resorts will leave you breathless (it’s nestled in one of the island’s last remaining white sand beach coves), so take their inclinator instead and you’ll be there in less than 40 seconds.

It ups the ante with the opening of the Ocean Champagne Bar, an authentic Balinese thatched hut that offers leading labels such as Cristal, Dom Pérignon, Veuve Clicquot, and Champagne Billecart-Salmon. Pair them up with light bites such as caviars and canapés then head down and relax on one of its sun beds to gaze at the beach.
