The Grand Hyatt Jakarta is adding special touches to celebrate Christmas and preparing for a lively New Year’s Eve party. In addition to decking out its impressive Grand Lobby with two two enormous Christmas trees, an abundance of holiday decorations, and countless lights, the hotel will be filled with the sweet sounds of Christmas carols by the Christmas Children’s Choir on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Enjoy performances from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on December 24 and 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. the next day. Also bringing holiday cheer and presents is Santa Claus, who will be stopping at the hotel for a visit. Children can meet with Santa on Christmas Eve from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Christmas Day from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

To ring in the new year, the hotel will be throwing a Grand Countdown in its Fountain Lounge. Enjoy a close-up view of the bustling Bunderan H.I. traffic circle, one of the city’s best known landmarks, on one of the most festive nights of the year. For US$132 ++, enjoy a lavish buffet spread featuring fresh seafood, prime cuts, and live cooking stations, plus a glass of champagne at the stroke of midnight. Freeflow beer and wine is also available for an additional charge. The mood of the Grand Countdown will be dynamic and fun thanks to Australian band Big City Beat, which will be performing Top 40 and classic party hits then lead the countdown to 2014.
