Peruvian celebrity chef Diego Muñoz has been leading a nomadic existence as of late, and he’s put his stamp firmly on the open-air restaurant at Ulu Cliffhouse, the newest beach club to grace Bali’s Bukit peninsula. But the eclectic, cross-cultural menu inspired by his global travels is just one reason to make time for this 4,600-square-meter playground on the clifftops of Uluwatu. There’s also an infinity pool and day beds swaddled in modernist surroundings that recall 1950s Palm Springs, and, halfway down the cliff face, the cantilevered terraces of the Rock Bar, accessed from the poolside area by a winding stairway. The tunes here are another highlight. Ulu Cliffhouse has now recruited producer and composer Neil McLellan—best known for his work with electronic music legends The Prodigy—to helm the musical team. And with an in-house recording studio set to stream live shows, an art space, and a lifestyle boutique on the grounds, there should be more than enough to woo revelers from trendy Seminyak.
