One of the world’s great chefs will be touching down in the Maldives in April to demonstrate why he’s among the youngest to hold all three Michelin stars. Sergio Herman will be at Huvafen Fushi from April 3-6, along with the culinary team from his restaurant Oud Sluis—one of the San Pellegrino World’s Best 50 Best Restaurants for the last seven years. Located on the Dutch-Belgian border, a short drive from Bruges, Herman has taken a family business and turned it into a destination in its own right—especially for its Père et Fils menu. The four-day showcase in the Maldives will include a trip to the capital, Male, to source the best local produce for a live cooking demonstration and dinner at Salt, the resort’s overwater restaurant. Also on the agenda, guests are invited to dine at the Huvafen Fushi’s underground wine cellar, Vinum, and attend a beach lunch prepared by Herman for children of the Kudakudhinge Hiya orphanage.
Anyone wishing to attend should email reservations@huvafenfushi.com or call 960/6644-222.
