Art Stage Singapore 2012 Makes a Splash on Global Art Scene

The second edition of Art Stage Singapore is set to kick off at the Marina Bay Sands Convention and Exhibition Center on January 12, 2012. One of the main themes of this year’s four-day event is the increasing worldwide importance of the Asian art scene. The festival is set to attract approximately 120 galleries and collectors from over 18 countries, including leading Asian galleries such as Ota Fine Arts from Tokyo, Gallery Hyundai from Seoul, and Tang Contemporary Art, which has galleries in Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Beijing. Prestigious international galleries will also be represented at the event by Lehmann Maupin from New York, Victoria Miro from London, and Galerie Eigen+Art from Berlin, among others.

In addition, the event will host lectures featuring renowned art industry professionals, various fringe programs, and art-centered activities.
