Chinese restaurant Man Ho’s is just the place to produce some of Bangkok’s most delectable mooncakes. Celebrating the age-old tradition with four exquisite flavors carefully selected by executive chef Teng Kam Seng, mooncake-lovers can pick from four delectable flavors: durian with egg yolk, lotus seed with egg yolk, mixed nuts with egg yolk and date plum or Chinese jujube with egg yolk. With four pieces put inside the beautiful Lantern Box (US$36), or an individual box of one (US$5), these mooncakes are sure to become a bestseller.

For the past decades, the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok has set the bar on hospitality excellence. It now strives to offer Bangkok’s most premium mooncakes—all of which have the Mandarin’s internationally recognizable fan logo—by offering quirky flavored bites such as durian with egg yolk.
The mooncakes come in what is called “Orient Classic” gift box, which includes eight mooncakes (US$24). An alternative is the “Orient Luxury” which also comes with a limited-edition La Grande Dame Tea by Mariage Frères (US$78). With only 1,000 boxes available, it’s best to order as soon as possible.

The St. Regis welcomes this year’s festivities with four flavors: chestnut and macadamia, monthong durian, red bean with lotus seed, and mixed fruit with nuts (US$51 for a box of four). The selection all come with the hotel’s distinct hotel “R” logo. Packaged in turquoise blue and vibrant red ornamental gift boxes, these are gifts anyone will like receive.

The Okura Prestige
La Pâtisserie at the Okura Prestige Bangkok certainly knows how to make sweet treats well, and this year, they’re coming out with four delicious mooncake flavors to signal the arrival of the Mid-Autumn Festival. Choices include durian and jujube with a single yolk, custard, and green tea. Encased in beautiful Japanese-inspired boxes that can be divided into sections to contain four (US$30), eight (US$57), or 12 (US$87) cakes, these are almost too pretty to eat.

Anyone who’s been to the W Bangkok will know that the hotel has a thing for vibrant and fun, from decor to its culinary creations. Voted as having the most creative mooncakes last year, the hotel returns this year with new and exciting flavors for their mooncake collection.
In an attempt to out-do last year’s creations, the hotel is bringing out five flavors which include durian, Japanese cheesecake, and peanut butter (US$6 for individual pieces or US$24 for a box of four). The cakes are all packaged in a box that will be wrapped with a rooster/hen designed printed scarf, a nod to 2017 being the year of the rooster. Once done with the delicious cakes, make a fashion statement by wearing the scarf!
