Resorts World Sentosa is poised to open two eco-luxury hotels—the Equarius Hotel and the Beach Villas—on February 16 on Singapore’s Sentosa Island.
Located on the 49 hectares of Resorts World Sentosa (already home to four other resorts), the new properties let guests get close to nature without sacrificing the comforts of five-star lodging. The 172-room Equarius Hotel and the 22-villa Beach Villas are set on the fringes of a 2.9-hectare tropical rainforest, and 4,000 trees that have been planted throughout the grounds.
From the resorts, 360-degree views take in the waterfront, city skyline, and lush tropical rainforest.
Facilities at the hotels include seven meetings rooms, an event pavilion, a gym, and a swimming pool. A restaurant called Forest specializes in Chinese cuisine with a Thai twist. Helmed by celebrity chef Sam Leong, it’s set in a glass house with a ceiling inspired by the forest canopy.
More is on the way. In the works are tree-top lofts above the forest canopy, a spa from the UK’s ESPA brand, and 11 two-story suites located within the upcoming Marine Life Park oceanarium.
