The Singapore Dance Theatre will return to Malaysia this May for its fifth annual performance series in Kuala Lumpur and Penang. The troupe will perform Ballet Illuminations featuring a medley of classical and contemporary choreography including George Balanchine’s Allegro Brillante, Toru Shimazaki’s original creation called Absence of Story, Val Caniparoli’s culturally inspired Lambarena, and Don Quixote pas de deux. From May 9 to 11 Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre will host four performances of Illuminations while the Penang Performing Arts Centre will host two performances May 16 and 17. Tickets are now on sale for both performances starting from US$14.
