Long-time fans of York Hotel in Singapore will be delighted to see that the Mount Elizabeth property has undergone a few enhancements, giving the place a more contemporary feel. Thanks to a $1 million refurbishment, 91 out of 407 rooms now come with new snazzy pastel-colored wallpaper, while the foyers have been installed with earth-toned floors that provide a nice contrast to the bright colors.
Another change is something that eco-warriors will be thrilled with—old lightbulbs and lamps where replaced with light-emitting diodes (LED), which means the property will consume less electricity. Other enhancements to the four-star business hotel include: more lights installed in each headboard, additional universal power sockets with USB ports, and plush carpeting and rich brown leather were fitted into the foyers’ walls that lead to the elevators.
