The InterContinental Samui Baan Taling Ngam Resort is set to open its doors February 1 following an extensive 10-month refurbishment. The resort is located on the former site of Baan Taling Ngam Resort, which was taken over by InterContinental Hotel Group earlier this year. The original property featured in New York Times’ 1000 Places to See Before You Die, for its vistas of the famous Five Islands and Angthong National Park. Boasting 79 guest residences, including cliffside rooms and villas and shoreline villas, the resort embodies Thai heritage with a contemporary, colorful edge. In addition to numerous fine-dining venues, the resort also features seven swimming pools, a 150-meter jetty, and a spacious spa perched 120 meters above the sea.
