Foodies will descend upon Zurich this June for the third annual il TAVOLO food festival with five days of culinary celebrations. Kicking of the event June 25, airline caterer Gate Gourmet will transport guests to 14 destinations where global cuisine will be prepared by the talents of visiting chefs. On June 26, six top chefs will prepare a progressive six-course meal across six luxury hotels during which chef Paul Stradner of Brenners Park Hotel along with Maurice Marro and Olivier Rais of Baur au Lac (among others) will race from hotel kitchen to hotel kitchen make each subsequent portion of the feast during The Dashing Chef event. Other highlights include a 200-meter-long tavolota lunch in the city’s Zurich Engros market paired with Tuscan wines, a family brunch prepared by Michelin-rated chef André Jaeger, and six meals held in the city’s top hotels under the starry night sky. Tickets are available for purchase per event and start from US$65. The event lasts from June 25-29.
