Come Spring 2018, the royal couple will marry at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
Since the announcement of Prince Harry and “Suits” actress Meghan Markle’s engagement on Monday, speculation has been rife on where the royal wedding will be held.
To the excitement of many, Kensington Palace has confirmed that the nuptials will take place at St. George’s Chapel, a church on the grounds of Windsor Castle in the Berkshire countryside west of London.
Since its completion in 1528, the chapel has been home to many important events and traditions of the royal family, from Easter to the service of the Order of the Garter.
Plus, it has hosted a fair share of royal weddings including Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles, as well as the funerals of royal monarchs.
The church itself is a grand display of gothic architecture, with dedicated stalls and banners for knights, stained-glass windows, chantries, and an organ loft.
