Open for just two days during New York Fashion Week, the five-story pop-up will feature a bedroom, a lounge, a café, and a chic indoor pool.
Considering top fashion labels like Bulgari and Armani have already ventured into the hospitality business, it’s no surprise to see French luxury fashion house YSL do the same–albeit with a pop-up “hotel”.
Open from September 8-9 during New York Fashion Week, the five-story hotel will be staged inside a SoHo townhouse. Designed in the same vein as wildly popular pop-up exhibits like The Museum of Ice Cream and The Color Factory, the YSL hotel looks set to be an Instagram-worthy playground for adults, but with a touch of luxury.
Expect to whip out your camera for plenty of eye candy, including a lounge with purple sofas, a YSL Beauty Café, a chic indoor pool, and more.
Each room will showcase YSL Beauty’s latest launches, including the Rouge Pur Couture The Slim lipstick and Zoë Kravitz’s new campaign for the classic Black Opium Eau de Parfum (the scent of which will be wafting through all five floors).
Highlights include a rockstar-themed bedroom with a full-sized bed to “express your wildest Black Opium fantasies,” as well as views of the cityscape from the rooftop pop-up shop.
Visitors can also look forward to fragrance workshops and makeup counters, where they can experiment with classic YSL Beauty products.
That said, this is one hotel you won’t be able to spend the night at–visitors will have to book hour-long slots beforehand.
