The Results Are In! And the Best DestinAsian Cover of the Past Decade Is …

One of the many ways we’ve celebrated our 10-year anniversary — aside from wild parties, our biggest-ever print issue, and this brand-spanking-new website — is a Facebook contest where readers could vote on their favorite DestinAsian magazine cover from the past decade.

The voters have decided! The DestinAsian cover that received the most votes is of the June/July 2009 issue, our islands-themed issue that year. The cover shows a model holding snorkeling gear staring out at gigantic karst formations in Thailand’s stunning Phang-nga bay. Photographer Christopher Wise took the shot.

The related article, written by Christopher R. Cox, covers island-hopping in Phang-nga Bay.

Thanks to everyone who voted.
