Some of the world’s top food festivals are working up an appetite this fall. Manhattan turns the channel to the Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival (Oct. 16–19; nycwineandfoodfestival.com), with tastings and seminars including a New York Times–hosted discussion with Alain Ducasse, Daniel Boulud, and Eric Ripert and a dessert party designed by Cronut king Dominique Ansel. Three Australian cities fête their culinary scenes in Good Food Month (goodfoodmonth.com)—Sydney and Canberra in October and Melbourne in November. Hundreds of restaurants and bars boast special menus, and the hawker-style Night Noodle Market installs itself in Sydney’s Hyde Park. And in Italy’s Piedmont region, the Alba White Truffle Fair (Oct. 11–Nov. 16; fieradeltartufo.org) draws the world’s top chefs for its regional food and wine tastings and invitation-only auction of the rare Alba Madonna white truffles. –Gabrielle Lipton
