Another reason to visit the recently refurbished Van Gogh Museum: Sunset at Montmajour, a large and long-lost canvas that Vincent van Gogh painted in the south of France in 1888, just two years before his untimely death. Labeled a fake more than a century ago and left for decades in a Norwegian attic, the work has recently been verified as an original, and now takes pride of place in an exhibition entitled “Van Gogh at Work,” which runs until January 12. –Christi Hang
